GREAT TRANSITION
The concept of Great transition designates the way for a transition of our development and production patterns towards a sustainable development, during the beginning of this 21st century, period during which a « planetary civilization » is supposed to be emerging. This planetary civilization, which is characterized by an acceleration of changes (the historical time perception) and the fact we live decisive decades for the fate of humanity, appeals to the construction of global solutions within a global system.
Thus, the Great Transition can be seen as a global scenario which identifies strategies and actors for change and values for a new worldwide agenda.
