BIOPIRACY

Biopiracy designates the intellectual appropriation made on traditional knowledge of natural resources, especially medicinal and agricultural plants (like seeds) and their use, by modern Agro Industry, laboratories from industrialized countries and international companies, for which they are awarded exclusive rights to use under patent laws [1].
